Anthony Hopkins’ new film dubbed ‘Zero Contact’ is about to be released on the Vuele NFT marketplace within the next month.

Oscar-winner Anthony Hopkins’ new film is going to be tokenized and sold on an upcoming NFT marketplace for movies dubbed “Vuele.”

The 83-year-old Hopkins has had a celebrated career and won 2 Oscars and 2 Emmys, star in notable films together with Silence of the Lambs, The Elephant Man, the Thor franchise and also the Father.

The new feature-length film is named “Zero Contact” and has been created by individual film finance and production company, Enderby Entertainment.

According to Enderby, the story follows 5 characters from around the world “connected solely by their devotion to tech titan Finley Hart (Hopkins).”

The 5 characters discover a secret invention by the tech titan, and collaborate to shut it down because it provides “either the answer to mankind’s issues or the end of life on earth.”

Zero Contact was released remotely in 17 completely different territories throughout the first waves of the world pandemic in 2020, and also the production relied heavily on depend on Zoom to shoot scenes. The script is by Cam Cannon and is about to drop on Vuele around late July to early August.

“Everything regarding this film is unconventional, from the means we tend to shoot it by Zoom and remote production, to its distribution,” said producer/director Rick Dugdale of Enderby.

The film’s distribution can encompass up to NFT 5 drops on Vuele, and can “include the film, and extras still to be determined that may vary from token to token to form completely different price points.”

Dugdale notes that Enderby selected to launch the film via NFTs as a result of the underlying tech permits the firm to form verifiable “scarcity in copies of the film, and protects against piracy.”

The Vuele Marketplace is targeted on pic distribution and film viewing, and users of the platform should purchase content in crypto or fiat currency. Zero Contact seems to be the sole project proclaimed at this stage, and also the firm hasn’t specified which blockchain the marketplace is constructed on. Vuele’s website states:

“Members will have the chance to buy and watch feature-length films and extremely sought-after content, including behind the scenes and never-before-seen footage, bonus features, exclusive Q&As, #filmobilia, so much more.”

There seems to be a growing trend of film and tv productions that either utilize blockchain tech Or  are centered on crypto narratives.

Cointelegraph reported on July 8 that a new reality show is casting crypto users, who have been locked from their wallets. The series can give consultation from crypto and cybersecurity specialists to assist users try to recover access to their funds.

Earlier this month, the AMM world production company proclaimed a forthcoming 12-episode series dubbed “Crypto Keepers” set for 2022, with the story centered on NFTs and a race between developers from Hong Kong and America to form a different digital currency.

In June, Fox Corp. announced the launch of a $100 million creative fund for NFTs to accompany its new NFT firm Blockchain Creative Labs.

Blockchain Creative Labs can give dedicated NFT marketplaces for partnered shows, like a new animated series dubbed “Krapopolis” from Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon.
